While all of my fellow bloggers and participants of A to Z Challenge are writing on something very exciting and colorful, I believe someone needs to balance out the other side of the see-saw and that is exactly what I am aiming at, this year.
Before I proceed forward to revealing the theme of my challenge, I would like to introduce the challenge to the people who do not know about it and introduce myself to my fellow participants and readers (as if my borderline narcissistic About Me page was not enough).
The A to Z Challenge
The A to Z challenge is an international blogging challenge that takes place every year during the month of April, since 2010. The idea behind A to Z Challenge is to write about any topic themed on something of one’s own choice throughout the month of April – starting with alphabet A and going all the way to alphabet Z. This means that the participants blog on a set theme for 26 days of the month excluding Sundays.
The rules are simple:
- The chronology of alphabets must be maintained.
- The theme should be declared during the month of March (ideally, every participant reveal their respective themes on March 20).
- #AtoZChallenge must be used while sharing your posts to make it easier for readers to find them.
- Comment and share if you like a fellow participant’s blog / post(s) – after all, the objective is to discover new content / people and share the ones that you already follow. 🙂
In India, Blogchatter curates the list of bloggers participating in this challenge. To sign up, just go to the sign up page on their website and enlist your blog. I am the 62nd registrant this year.
I hope that you went through my About Me section earlier. If not, please let me introduce myself again. My name is Mohit Madan – just a regular next-door guy from New Delhi, India. I have been a blogger since 2009 and my first blog was on Blogspot where I used to post random stuff. I may have blogged prior to 2009 as well but I do not have any memories or blog links for that. However, I moved to this website a few years ago and have been posting on and off. I mostly post about social causes and a few things from here and there, apart from my failed attempts to write about my travel experiences.
As a 20-something years old guy, who is probably too old for his skin (not that my skin is too young either), I look at the world in a way that many of my fellow 20-somethings probably miss out on. Having shared a wild set of people around me with a higher number of wilder experiences with each of them, I have realized that I am yet to unlock far too much of knowledge, wisdom and experiences in my life. So, with my humble opinion and a slightly narcissistic attitude (that I am proud of), let me move on to my theme, without any further ado!
The Theme for A to Z Challenge – 2017
Since the time that I signed up for this challenge, I have been jumping from one theme to the other and to the other again within a matter of hours. If you don’t believe me, ask Chandni Moudgil, who I have constantly bugged with my questions and thoughts. There are so many good topics to pick up and so much to research and write about that it was tough for me to put my finger on a single one.
As I already said – I mostly like to write about social causes and issues with the world; and there are definitely way too many of them to cover within 26 days. Also, I am probably part Satan to ruin a wonderfully colorful blogging challenge with a slightly dark theme – I have decided to write about 26 issues with India and the world that I feel we all should collectively be focusing on. I will also give my inputs for each one of them in the form of one simple task that each of us can perform to be a part of the solution. As a disclaimer, I would like to mention that I am not an expert in any of those fields. These issues are of my concern and therefore, I want to bring them to your attention.
In the end, I hope that some of us start taking some of these issues seriously before it gets too late. If you do like my theme, please subscribe to my blog so that you do not miss out on any posts. In case you have any suggestions, please put them in comments or feel free to reach out to me personally. You can find my details on the Home page of the website.
Looking forward to seeing you here again!
